We are really pleased to offer a training aspect of the Club during these restricted times. Guidance from England Athletics is for small groups of up to 12 runners, all social distancing of 2 metres.
England Athletics has released updated guidance for Clubs, based on the Government guidelines. The main change relates to group size restrictions and operating within a Covid secure environment.
For clarity:- Where groups wish to merge for a run, so might have multiple Coaches/LiRFs, the maximum of 12 should apply to a single run/route, rather than per coach (e.g. if there are 3 LiRFs, the maximum number of other runners is 9).
|Covid -19 officer is in place||Sianie.Painter@newmarketjoggers.co.uk. Any queries please direct to Sianie.|
|Develop an action plan and risk assessment||See docs below|
|All activity must comply with Gov guidance around social distancing- before, during and after activity.||We have provided guidance and is the responsibility of the bubble leader|
|Pre Health questionnaire, including participant details which can be shared for track and trace.||Below is the questionnaire . It will be ‘assumed a no’ to all questions if a member turns up for a given session. Can leaders please make sure their runners are aware of it and are able to answer ‘no’ to the questions- if there are any yes’; do not run!
Regarding contact details, we have these as part of membership, but leaders need to be aware of who, from their bubble, has run in any given session (You will most likely have a whatsapp trail)
|Clubs, coaches and event managers must ensure everyone at the session maintains good hygiene and that provisions are in place to allow for this||Leaders’ responsibility as per previous guidance|
Here are some important documents that you should be aware of before running with a group:-
