Newmarket Joggers is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all members, athletes, coaches and officials.

The first point of contact for any safeguarding concern should be the club Welfare Officer, Joanne Bouttell who can be contacted at

In the unlikely event that the Welfare Officer is unavailable, or their involvement would be inappropriate, safeguarding concerns can be escalated to the Chair or Training Captain.

If there is immediate danger or a serious crime is in progress, call the emergency services on 999 before doing anything else.

All club members are required to abide by the England Athletics codes of conduct as appropriate to their role (i.e. athlete, coach, official, parent and/or volunteer) as a condition of their membership.  Note that you may have multiple roles in the club and, if so, you will be bound by the code of conduct for each.

Further information is available from the England Athletics welfare hub or any committee member.
