Round Norfolk Relay

The Round Norfolk Relay is a race that goes around the Norfolk county boundary, around 200 miles split into 17 ‘legs’. Each of the 17 runners who make up a team run distances of between 6 and 20 miles. Newmarket Joggers regularly enters a team in this unique race.

The race starts and finishes at Kings Lynn sports Centre. It usually takes around 24 hours to complete. All runners on a highway in daylight are escorted with a cyclist, in the hours of darkness they are escorted with a vehicle with a flashing beacon. The race is generally held on the second Saturday and Sunday in September. A staggered start based on anticipated finishing times, the aim is to finish between 9:15am and 10:00am on the Sunday morning.
