On Easter Sunday, fast improving Sarah Osborne set a PB in the Trowse 10K at Norwich and won a trophy for 3rd placed female. She finished in a time of 40:52, 3rd F of 265 in a total field of 640, 1st of 47 in the FSen category. This follows her 41:11 PB in the Bedford 10K in February, so things progressing well for her in 2023.

On Good Friday, 4 Joggers took part in the 5-mile Sudbury Fun Run, a popular annual race dating back to the 1980s. Jimmy Smith was in trophy winning form, first Jogger home in 28:14, 5th of 530 overall, 1st of 90 in M40-49. Then came Chris Underwood (33:13, 61st, 28th of 94 in MSen), Neville Clarke (36:34, 113th, 4th of 69 in M60-69) and Nicole Smith (45:25, 76th F of 207, 22nd of 58 in F50-59).

Also on Good Friday, the Zig Zag “Easter Challenge” multi-lap event took place at the Suffolk Running Centre in Barrow, with a good turnout of 148 participants. Pearl Fay (2:42:13) and Caroline Mcintosh (2:42:13) ran 2 laps together for the Half Marathon distance, mainly as a training run for Pearl’s TCS London Marathon bid on 23rd April. Pearl has put everything into her preparation for London and we’ll all be rooting for her.
