Continuing in his purple patch of form, Chris Gay led the field of 150 runners home in the Bury St Edmunds Festival of Sport 5K at 7pm on Wednesday evening. Official results are still not out, but Chris made his time 18:30. This was a mad scramble of a race, twisting and turning through Bury’s town centre in the dark and was great fun according to most reports, with people carrying night glow decorations to present quite a spectacle for bemused passers-by. There was a party atmosphere afterwards with food and drinks provided. Lisa Jennings was the other Newmarket Jogger running but her time and position is not yet known.
