A couple of brave joggers took on the Folksworth 15 last weekend. The biting cold and snowy conditions of this scenic route over 2 laps of an undulating course, with three fairly steep hills on each lap, did not deter Newmarket Joggers Chris Gay and Nik Chapman. With over 400 runners Chris came in 17th position with his time of 1.37.20. Nik, not far behind crossed the line in 2.02.07.
Many runners use this course as a training run for many of the spring marathons coming up. The Newmarket Joggers again this year have several runners taking on the London Marathon. The club run a special London Marathon bus to the event, to view and support all the runners. This year the bus seating is opening up for both members and non members. With local pick up and drop off in Newmarket High Street this really is a worth while option.
