Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds hosted the Eastern Counties Cross Country run, of which the Newmarket Joggers put in some great performances. 12k was the men’s distance, with women and male V60 running a 6k distance.  Neil Pollard was first Newmarket jogger home in just 44.52, with fellow Jogger Paul Holley closely behind in 46.12.  Other male club runners across the line were Mark Hayward – 47.45, Simon Harris – 49.13, Chris Gay – 47.12, Jamie Rule, Clive Purbrook, Sam Sadler and Jeremy Reader.  First female club member to finish was Hannah Pollard in 26.35.  A great run for Hannah, with other club runners putting in some great off road skills.  Also crossing the line were, Helen Wass, Jan Holmes, Rebecca Hannah, Sarah Kinston and Caroline McIntosh.
Taking on a 10 mile challenge, 5 of the clubs members were in Bassingbourn competing in the Bass Belle 10 miler. Ellie Bithell  was first jogger home  – 1.22.10, which was a PB for her.  Also finishing with a PB was Jan Holmes – 1.33.16.  Helen Wass, Jackie Hall, and Caroline McIntosh all put in great runs on this very chilly morning.
Clodie Rolph kicked off the festive runs by doing the Santa 5k run around Ely, whilst Svetlana Zinchenko opted for the beautiful Brecks and Thetford Forest for her 10K run.   Richard Groom was at Bramhall park in Manchester doing a 5k park run, and Andrew Taylor tackled the Charles Burrell 10k with a very respectable 51.25 for this tough cross country route.
