Cross Country and Half marathons was the theme this week from the joggers.  Many of the joggers took part in the first of the Suffolk Cross Country Winter Series.  Framingham was host to the first cross country run. Over 500 runners took to the off road route and the joggers came home with a great start to the season.  Neil Pollard was 13th across the line in just 33.01, closely followed by fellow jogger Paul Holley (34.38)  Many of the clubs runners put in great performances including Greg Davis, Brian Munns, Lisa Winnington, Jan Holmes, Jeremy Reader, Jenny Osbourn and many more. The Women’s A team came through with some great times, putting them in overall 2nd position at the early stage –   Nicky Chapman, Grainne Brennan and Tessa Montague put in a finishing time of 41.18, to put them in this position. 
In other areas of the country several of the members made fine finishes in half marathons.  Jo Curtis was at Knebworth in Hertfordshire gaining a personal best of 1.54, which was an amazing 8 minutes off her previous times.  Fellow jogger Hannah Pollard crossed the line and Paul Dockerill with another personal best of 1.31. 33. 
4 of the joggers went to St Neots to compete in the half marathon.  Clive Purbrook was first Newmarket jogger across the line in 1.45.19.  Other joggers crossing the line in fine form were, Miles Johnson, Lynda McCormack and Mary Marsh.
In the other direction Snetterton race circuit ,with 750 runners was the finishing line for club runners Ursula Ransom and Giles Macrow.
