Over 1500 runners took to the streets of Cambridge for the annual Town and Gown 10K run this weekend. Several of the joggers represented the club at this run. The rain held off and the wind didn’t stop some of the joggers coming home with personal bests. Mandy Davis had a target of 60mins, she came home in a super 57.42. An amazing personal best was achieved by Sarah Sales who knocked an impressive 4 mins of her previous 10k time, crossing the line in just 52.56, whist fellow jogger Andrew Taylor was first Newmarket jogger home with his PB of 45.37, which took 1.28 off his previous time. Kevin Grimes also put in a great run with a PB of 51.37.
Other runners braving the wind and cold to cross the line were, Clive Purbrook-46.44, Anthony Garth-49.14, Mike Sales-50.12, Caroline McIntosh- 1.12.16, Belinda Schofield-53.40 and Sue Kent-1.09.23.
