This week saw the final of the Kevin Henry Series of races. The flat course hosted by Cambridge and Coleridge Club is a good one for giving the runners a chance to gain a personal best. 35 of the joggers took part along with another 300 runners from the other clubs on this lovely sunny evening. Several personal bests were gained along with some great awards for the Joggers. Overall league Champion went to Denys Olefir. Top female performer went to Ruth Eberhardt and top male performer went to the clubs Alex Cairns.
With the great running this season The Newmarket Joggers were just beaten to 3rd overall place by the Haverhill Club by just 3 points putting them in 4th overall position.
Other runners went out to compete in 10 mile races. Clive Purbrook completed the hot and undulating Mersea Island run in just 1.21.09 and Caroline Mcintosh completed the Lee Valley velopark 10 miles around the velo track.
