The Saffron Walden Striders hosted the Kevin Henry series on Thursday evening with a new course at Carver Barracks. 243 runners from the regions clubs took part with 41 from the Newmarket Joggers. A nice evening and a flat course saw some excellent times gaining valuable points for the Joggers.
Denys Olefir took overall 2nd place with his time of 16.06 only 3 seconds behind the winner. Personal bests were gained by Jo Curtis – 26.22, Grainne Brennan- 18.58 and Paul Francis with 19.55. These great results and those of the rest of the club that all add to the points sees the joggers sitting in overall 3rd position with just 2 races to go. The joggers are in close competition to hold onto that 3rd place with the Haverhill club so all still be run for in the next 2 races.
