Newmarket Joggers Emma Impey and Jackie Henley have flourished since graduating from the Newmarket Joggers Beginners Group, held annually in January, and took part in their first 10 mile event on Sunday when battling strong winds at the Bassingbourn Belle 10 mile race.
Their progression through the year is really paying off now and they are looking forward to a busy cross country season.
They were in classy company on Sunday and were led home by fellow Newmarket Joggers Alice Everett in a stunning time of 1.11.25, with Jeremy Reader following on in 1.20.58.
