Joe Sadler was the lone representative from the newmarket Joggers to brave the freezing conditions to tackle a tough, hilly course in the Folksworth 15 on Sunday. Solid, eveb paced running saw him home in 41st place in a credible time of 1.41.03.

Haughley Park provides a stern test of cross country running and so it proved again. Newmarket Joggers turned out in force for the 3rd in the series of 5 events in the Winter League. Paul Holley led the Joggers home in 15th place. Martyn Taylor, Greg Davis and Chris Gay all were next on the scene in 34th, 36th and 37th places respectively.
Neville Clarke ran well as ever in 99th place. Close behind were Jon Brooker(122nd) and Clive Purbrook(129th).Charles Shoolbred is back from a bout of flu and was a creditable 169th closely persued by Brian Munns in 206th. Marcus Gynn, Jim Withers and Mike Sales also put in a great shift.
Karrine Ferrin back up a fine run in the County Championships with another top performance. She was 1st of the female Joggers home in 113th place overall. Belinda Schofield is a frequent racer and rann home in 222nd place. Helen Wass is getting the hang of cross country in a big way and her place of 229th showed her improvement. There was little to split Kate Warboys and Svitlana Zinchenko in 249th and 255 respectively. Sarah Sales has made huge progress and came home in 285th. Sally Nicholson ran well on debut in 293rd and there were also good runs from Isabel Vicente, Pearl Fay and Jenny Osbourn.
