NJ Round Up – 1st December

Kingston 10K

As predicted in recent bulletins, Paul Holley is not out of the “top 10” finishes  for long. After a series of comeback runs, the elite veteran Newmarket Jogger showed that normal service is being resumed with a 5th place in the highly competitive Kingston 10K in London. His time of 35.43 saw him take 1st V40 prize and this bodes well for the Suffolk County Cross Country and preparation for the Paris Marathon in Spring 2015.

Kings Forest Festive Winter Challenge (West Stow)

Ben Blowes earned a superb podium finish when 2nd overall in the Festive Forest Winter Challenge over 20 miles. The seasoned Ultra runner is always on the search for fresh challenges over all terrains and produced more magic here with a time of 2.28.03.

 Cuxton Half Marathon.

Newmarket JoggerTracey Apperley took part in the very muddy and hilly Cuxton Half Marathon trail race last Saturday 29th November 2014. Cuxton is near Rochester in Kent and the trail used part of the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way. Trailscape who organised the event also held a marathon and 10k run in addition to the half marathon distance. The race trails were very well marked and marshalled.  Tracey was 10th overall woman in a time of 2 hour 33 minutes.
