NJ Round Up – 17th November

St Neots Riverside Half Marathon Sunday 16th

A strong contingent of Newmarket Joggers travelled the short distance to St Neots for this popular event. In a quality field, the the first Joggers home was Chris Gay in a personal best time of 1.21.12. Chris is developing into a top endurance performer. Alex Cairns was next in 1.27.05 with Nik Chapman in 1.34.22. First female Jogger was the impressive Nicky Chapman in a pb of 1.37.35.

There was nothing to split David Mclaughlin and Lisa Redman in 144.50 and 1.44.53 respectively. Vice Chairman Marcus Gynn was solid as usual coming home in 1.45.42. V60 Miles Johnson was solid in 1.55.33. Bee Chapman is rounding off a successful year and finished in 1.57.33 and Mary Marsh is also a regular weekend performer and came home in 2.03.31.

Leeds Abbey Dash 10K

Paul Holley is on his way back from injury and ventured to Leeds to rub shoulders with a world class 10K field in the Leeds Abbey Dash. When there are 400 runners ahead of the elite veteran Jogger you know the race is a prestigious field. Paul finished in a respectable 36.19 and will no doubt soon be back in top shape.

Southwold 10K

A superb pb for Belinda Schofield in 49.55 and she supported by Clive Purbrook in 44.51.
