NJ Round Up – 20th October

Thurlow 10-19th October

The testing conditions of the mixed terrain Thurlow 10 brought a cracking run from Jason Beeton, finishing 13th in 1.08.36. Veteran Past Joggers Chairman Keith Williams, completed his comeback from injury with a respectable time of 1.19.26. Jim Withers has also been patient after a long term injury but is racing again and finished in 1.30.45.

Abingdon Marathon-Sunday 19th October

Chris Gay produced a sensational pb in the Abingdon Marathon. The Newmarket Jogger smashed his way to an impressive time of 3.03.58, beating his previous time by 19 minutes. Chris is learning all the time from his racing and is sure to go sub 3 hours in the near future. Martyn Taylor, who has not had a straight forward build up, finished in 3.22 despite having problems with a hip injury. Nik Chapman battled cramp to come home in 3.40.58 and is taking a well earned rest.
