6 Newmarket Joggers Juniors travelled to Ipswich on Saturday to compete in the Sportshall Event the team was made up of Emily Knibbs (9), Seren Palmer (9), Emily Sargeant (9), Jonathan Rees (10), Harry Kelly (9) and Owen Stockwell (9). This indoor event competition is new to Junior Joggers who have only recently acquired indoor premises for the winter months to train in.
The disciplines they participated in were obstacle relay, relay, 6 lap paarrlauf, chest push, long jump, triple jump, vertical jump, soft javelin and speed bounce. Most of the events were new to the team but they all undertook the events with passion working as a team throughout encouraging others and giving their all in each event. All the Juniors were competed in the under 11 event and finished 5th team overall out of 8 teams. Their team manager Cathy Elsdon was delighted with the results and the team performance and was thankful of the support from parents and families and is now looking forward to participating in more events in the future.
